What came out of it

Deep scientific content, many practical examples and demonstrations

  • Spiking neural networks can be 6–8 orders of magnitude more energy efficient than classical ANNs
  • Neurotransmitters (serotonin, dopamine, norepinephrine) are critical for learning, memory, and decision-making
  • Memristors are a promising hardware basis for implementing bio-like synapses (organic ± 1 year of stability, inorganic — more stable)

Highly-creative neuromorphic computing and neurosimulation researcher and team leader with 16 years of professional experience. Has experience in the development of neuromorphic computing, affective computing, neuro-simulations: computational and hardware, machine cognition applications, automation of code generation, web-services-based enterprise applications and management of small teams.
